Two Lister locomotives (3916/31 and 42494/56) have now arrived at the Lime Kilns for the summer and will eventually run on the reinstated track.

They will be back for the May Open Day when there will be track down!

Work to reinstate the railway incline has now begun. The bulk of the extended incline has been created with material removed from another part of the site where the Model Boat Club are in the process of building a fantastic boating pond. This material has been placed to create a steady gradient for the incline railway.

Further work was then carried out by mechanical digger to level out the surface and clear away some of the sides and also uncover some track which had been covered over. Shrub clearance is also underway in either side of the track.

Hand digging of the incline has began. Much of the remaining track was uncovered but a stop was created so a section of the incline can still be used at Open Days while the rest is being reinstated.
